Winter ~ Tuesday ~ 12/28/2010
Mostly cloudy. Near steady temperature in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15
Due to the two-day blizzard that attacked on Sunday, 12/26/10. By given the size and strength of the storm, it was New York City’s sixth-largest snowfall and accompanied by winds that gusted over 65 miles an hour. The worst in four years as reported.
On the next day morning, I am trying to open the main entrance door, it’s stuck and totally unable to open it at all. Look from window; OMG!!! there is knee-to-tight-high snows just right in front of my eye. Can’t do anything at that moment, just be patient and wait for someone here to help to dig out and get us out. Not for long, my tenant’s daughter boyfriend was here and start digging. Thanks to him!
Well, we have took some pictures surrounding our area here:-
The residents here are still awaiting and expecting snowplow to arrive to clear and clean up. It seems yet to show up....
By looking at the next few days forecast; it should be starting to melt by now. Nevertheless, I have began my Christmas holiday since Friday, 24th December 201; five days count as of to-date. I’m really looking forward and hopefully I can resume to work on Wednesday, 29th December 2010.
It’s a first white christmas to me. I’m really feel happy and enjoyable the snowfalls. ^_^
