I fell into the latter category.  Recently, I’ve began to learn up the proper way of cooking during these break.  Sounds weird, right?  Prime of life, testosterone filled job.  What could be more natural than searching for a little release with the help from my sister, Ying.  I’m getting ready to have a cookout, and the first dish is “steamed fish”.  Well, I’ve come up with a recipe and I would like to share it with you guys.
Ingredients
  • Spring onion
  • Ginger
  • Fish
  • Cooking oil
Seasoning (mix well)
  • Light soy sauce
  • Cooking oil
Method:
  1. Rinse spring onion, finely chopped.  Peel ginger, rinse and cut into slices.  Gut and scale fish, rinse well and cut across into big pieces.
  2. Put fish into plate.  Sprinkle with chopped spring onion and slices ginger for fragrant.  Place it on a steamer tray or wok and fill with water.  Make sure the water is boiling before place it to steam.
  3. Once it’s cooked.  Pour away the remaining water, chopped spring onion, slices ginger on the plate and drain well.  Re-sprinkle with fresh chopped spring onion and slices ginger again.  Next, add in seasoning.  Lastly, heat up 2 tbsp of cooking oil until boil.  Remove from heat and pour on the fish.  Serve hot.
*Notes
Seasoning:  You may also use oyster sauce, sesame oil instead of light soy sauce and cooking oil.  The taste will be equally good.
By now, looking at my success; I realized that I’ve felt in love of cooking.  **laugh**
